Located along the Atlantic Coast, Sea Island is distinguished as being one of the four Golden Isles of Georgia. It is almost 60 miles north of Jacksonville, FL. and 60 miles south of Savannah, GA. The island was privately purchased by Howard E. Coffin in 1911 and golf was introduced to the area by 1927. Rees Jones and Tom Fazio - two of the most distinguished golf course architects in the world - reconstructed the courses in 1999 to produce the luxurious greens that are played on today. Recently, Sea Island has become host to the RSM Classic of the FedEx Cup since it was started in 2010. With over 90 years of strong traditions, Sea Island will give families and friends memories never to be forgotten.

Seaside Course Golf Packages
The Seaside course may only be booked as part of a "Stay & Play" package. Seaside is the pinnacle of links golf. Situated at the southern tip of St. Simons Island at The Lodge at Sea Island Golf Club, this oceanside course places a premium on careful shot selection, recovery, and putting. Offering Sea Island's most demanding layout, Seaside is the host venue for the PGA TOUR's RSM Classic. Seaside has also hosted multiple USGA events, challenging golf's best amateur players. Originally designed in 1929 by famed architects Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison, the Seaside Course was updated by Tom Fazio - earning a prominent place on Golf Digest's list of "Top 100 Courses in the United States." Tidal creeks, dunes, salt marshes and the St. Simons Sound frame the course, which plays fast, firm, and fun in the tradition of legendary Scottish links.
Plantation Course Golf Packages
The Plantation course may only be booked as part of a "Stay & Play" package. With Rees Jones' masterful renovation, Plantation Course unfolds among a forest of ancient live oak and cedar, with a hint of danger lurking in its tidal creeks and lakes. Plantation boasts expansive fairways that give definition to the course, showcasing beautiful views of the ocean, oaks, and blooming flowers - enticing the accomplished and inviting the novice. Jones calls the new Plantation "parkland by the sea" for its magnificent vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and its lush natural scenery. Rees added, "I took the work of Walter Travis (who designed Plantation in 1926) and Dick Wilson (who fashioned Retreat in 1960) and produced a classic style course with a similar flavor."
Retreat Course Golf Packages
The Retreat course may only be booked as part of a "Stay & Play" package. When Davis Love III and his brother, Mark, began renovating the Retreat Course, they knew they had a difficult task. Blending the players' preferences from the previous design, the brothers created an original design that is dramatic. The green complexes are a combination of slope, sand bunkers, and undulations creating a masterful test challenging the golfer to hit a variety of shots.
